NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The game, Nick Saban insisted rather testily the day before, was never about him. Said it wouldn’t define him as a person or as a coach, no matter what happened on the field.

Two national titles in three years? Saban can check that one off his list of unfinished tasks.

Coach a defense so smothering it pitched the first shutout ever in a national title game? Put a check beside that one, too.

Winning an unprecedented three BCS titles? Yeah, that, too.

And how about beating the coach who took over for him when he left LSU? No matter what Saban says publicly – and it’s never much – that had to be the sweetest part of the whole night.

There is an undisputed king among coaches in the undisputed king of all conferences.

Its no secret that community colleges are leading the way to achieving the Presidents goal for the United States to once again have the highest college attainment rate in the world by 2020. Community colleges are hubs for career-training, re-training, adult education and for recent high school graduates seeking a pathway into the careers of their choice.

During the 2011 rural community colleges conference in Oklahoma, many attendees asked about funding and resources available from the Department of Education but few were as familiar with opportunities in other federal agencies. Some rural community college administrators were unaware of the significant infrastructure of support available through their USDA Rural Development state and local offices.

As the American Jobs Act languishes in Congress, preventing an infusion of $5 billion for modernization from reaching community colleges, the U.S.

“Probably the most exciting game of my high school career, by far,” Hayden said. “We had to come out and play our best and I think we did.”

Hayden poured in 25 points as part of a workmanlike effort as Chilhowie stunned Smyth County foe Marion, 80-70, in double overtime on Tuesday night.

The Warriors had dropped a 71-29 decision to Marion back on Dec. 22. The rematch played out much differently.

Even after Marion raced out to a 21-7 lead to open the game, Chilhowie didn’t crumble.

“We played really good defense on every possession,” Hayden said. “We played as a
